This recently collected calcite is a real beauty. It is a thin bladed creamy white specimen with several areas of water clear calcite attached. Johannes Mine - Malmberget, Sweden

Another great specimen from above the Arctic Circle. This small cabinet piece of 7.5 x 6 x 5.x cm shows a butterscotch wedge shaped single crystal of 5 x 3.5 cm in the center of the piece.  The outer edges of the crystal shade to a milky color. Many clear elongated prismatic crystals circle the main crystal. You have to see this piece in person. Aesthetic and interesting - $75.00

This dome-shaped specimen of 1-5 mm pyrite crystals on sphalerite is covered with a dusting of micro calcite spheres on 1/3 of the specimen. Very complex multiple twinned cluster of clear calcite from level 152. One side shows both smooth and striated surfaces of clear calcite while the other side shows a group of twins with a light matted brownish surface. Very interesting small cabinet specimen $60.00

Kjennerudvannet - Kongsberg, Norway

Kongsberg is not only known for silver. Here is an interesting quartz miniature from this classic silver location. Dug from a mine dump in July 2000, this miniature is a milky grouping of mat surfaced crystals to 15 mm high. Over all specimen size is 5.6 x 3 x 2 cm. $18.00  Photo available

Clausstollens berghald - S. Vinoren - Kongsberg, Norway

This small miniature features a mass of tarnished dendritic silver wires on a platform of gray quartzite matrix. Individual silver dendrites are  up to 1 cm long and 1 mm across. surface area of the silver mass is 2.9 x 2.5 cm. The silver was etched from surrounding calcite with some calcite still visible. $70.00 for this specimen mined in 1994.

A very attractive small cabinet specimen of 6.5 x 5 x 2 cm.   Light and lustrous lilac colored cubes of 1 cm sit nicely on a matrix of milky white micro quartz. A good buy at $30.00.

Here is a fine reference specimen from a mine above the Arctic Circle. This cabinet specimen is a mass of interesting mineral associations showing good crystallization. The basic hornblend matrix is covered with apatite, magnetite and pyrite, all showing crystals. A single light green apatite 4 x 1.5 cm rests across one surface while several 1 cm pyrite cubes are exposed on the other end of the specimen. Black magnetite is seen through out the matrix. Size is 10 x 6 x 5 cm.  An interesting piece for $35.00  Reduced - $28.00

An excellent water clear specimen of rutilated quartz from a location noted for it's anatase and quartz associations. This piece stands 5.5 cm high is 2.2 cm across an 1.3 cm deep. Rutile needles are seen rising from the middle of the specimen. Several minor xls are attached at the back,  $36.00.   Reduced - $30.00

This miniature features a single dark red zircon crystal of  1 cm prominently placed in the middle of a black biotite granite matrix. A good specimen from this location.  Overall size is 5.5 x 2.7 x 1.8 cm. $24.00

This is a VERY CHOICE cabinet specimen of 12 .5 x 8 x 7 cm. The re are at least 11 clear crystals with sparkly marcasite phantoms around the outside of the specimen. In the center of the cluster are four tabular crystals that are milky gray and white. The underside of the piece shows  sparkling micro marcasite crystals. This specimen has been sprayed with a clear acrylic to make it easier to "look inside" the phantoms. Pieces like this are few and far between!! $200.00
