This cute little calcite is from a well known Montana location. It measures 3.5 x 2.8 x 2.4 cm. I really enjoy the color and form. |

| A superb calcite on fluorite from the Rosiclare Level of the Denton Mine, Harris Creek District, Illinois. This fine cabinet piece features honey colored calcite to 4.5 cm on rich royal purple fluorite to 2.5 cm on edge. At 13.5 x 11 x 7.5 cm overall, this is definitely a "keeper". | ||||
| By now you can tell that I like calcite. So... here is another of my favorites. This nice cabinet specimen is from Pine Point, Northwest Territory-Canada. I love the color and stacked crystals on this piece. Size...9.5 x 6.5 x 5.2 cm. |

This is a superb double terminated calcite from the Dalen/Kjorholt Mine, Brevik, Norway. Obtained in July , 1999, while in Norway, this specimen exhibits wonderful schalenohedral phantoms with micro pyrite shadows. At 9 x 5 x 3.5 cm this is a great small cabinet piece. |

| Fluorite is a favorite of mine and this specimen from the Elmwood Mine, Smith County, Tennessee, has a special quality that I really enjoy. The top corner of this cabinet specimen is perfectly clear which gives a view into the heart of the cube. The stepped front surface also adds mystery to the specimen. Over all size is 12.5 x 10.5 x 10 cm. |

Personally collected in 1985 at the Caland Pit, Atikokan, Ontario, this quartz crystal cluster is a real favorite. It is comprised of three separate crystals joined together on the back by tiny modified calcite rhombs. Each quartz crystal is double terminated and exhibits unique form and faces. Over all size is 8.7 x 4.5 x 7.5 cm. |

A recent gift from a friend in Norway, this fine calcite is from the Dalen-Kjorholt Mine at Brevik, Norway. It is a wonderful combination of 2 generations of calcite with the clear first generation being dusted with micro pyrite and the the second showing nice grey phantoms. Size for this small cabinet specimen is 6.5 x 6.3 x 3.5 cm. |

Yet another very nice calcite from the Dalen-Kjorholt Mine, this twinned specimen is 6.8 x 4.5 x 4 cm. This is but one of the 4 types of twins found in this great treasure trove of calcite specimens. |

Here is one of my favorite specimens from Illinois. This calcite fluorite combination is from the Rosiclare Level, Minerva #1 Mine, Hardin County, Illinois. It measures 6 x 7 x 4.5 cm and is from a 1993 find that produced these interesting porcupine balls of radiating calcite on fluorite. |

This is one of my special acquisitions while in Sweden in 1999. The lovely twinned calcite is from the Malmberget Mine, Gallivaire, Sweden. It measures 8 x 8 x 8 cm and was from a one time find made several years before it was presented to me as a gift by the man who collected it. Calcite from this mine are fabulous as a recent Mineralogical Record cover establishes. |
